General FAQs
No. The membership program is offered at 4, 8, and 12-month commitment options with considerable discounts on visits and services. However, once established as qualifying, you can also choose to book services a la carte.
No. Benehealth is a Functional Medicine specialty clinic and therefore does not provide primary care services. Benehealth works closely with prescribing providers (PCP and/or specialists) to provide management of chronic health conditions.
Often this is the case, but your PCP must remain your primary point person for medication management of chronic conditions. We can only be the primary point person for the management of bioidentical hormone and thyroid medications. Benehealth practitioners collaborate with your primary care provider and can assist in the prescription reduction and de-prescription as indicated.
Sometimes, but our services are payable by cash or credit only at this time. We can provide a superbill so you can submit it to your insurance provider for reimbursement of any services your plan may cover. Reimbursement varies and is dependent on each unique insurer and plan selected. There is no guarantee for reimbursement of the service fee.
Medical services and products – such as supplementation – are eligible expenses for health spending accounts (HSAs). Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) guidelines vary slightly from HSA guidelines, but many would still qualify medical services as eligible expenses. If you have questions, please contact your insurance, HSA, or FSA provider for further information.

Functional medicine is a patient-centered approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of diseases rather than merely treating symptoms. Unlike conventional medicine which often relies on medications to suppress symptoms, functional medicine utilizes a holistic approach, looking at the patient's lifestyle, environmental exposures, genetic predispositions, and bodily systems to devise personalized treatment plans.
Functional medicine recognizes that low energy can result from various factors like hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, poor gut health, chronic infections, or stress. By addressing these root causes through dietary changes, supplements, stress management techniques, and other interventions, many individuals experience significant improvements in energy levels. Learn more about low energy and fatigue.
Yes, functional medicine practitioners may recommend a combination of herbal supplements, lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and biofeedback or mindfulness techniques to help improve sleep quality and address insomnia. Factors like hormonal imbalances, stress, or even certain foods can contribute to sleep disturbances. At Benehealth, we dive deep to look at the root-causes of sleep disorders. Learn more about Sleep Problems.
Gut health is central to functional medicine. By assessing for food sensitivities, microbial imbalances, and digestive enzyme deficiencies, personalized treatment plans may include probiotics, specific diets like low FODMAP or gluten-free, and other interventions to restore a balanced gut flora and improve digestion. Our gut health experts know how to identify root-cause of gut dysbiosis and provide a comprehensive and personal treatment plan. Learn more about gut health.
Absolutely. Functional medicine investigates potential thyroid issues, adrenal health, hormone imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies that could be affecting metabolism through a root-cause approach. No two people are the same, so it is imperative to create personalized treatments including dietary changes, targeted supplements, and strategies to optimize metabolic function. Learn more about hormone balance.
Yes. Hormonal imbalances are addressed by identifying underlying causes such as stress, exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals, poor diet, or other factors. Treatments can include dietary changes, herbal supplements, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, and lifestyle modifications to restore balance. Learn more about hormone balance.
Functional medicine delves deep into the reasons behind weight challenges—whether it's hormonal imbalances, inflammation, genetic factors, or gut health issues. By addressing these root causes and optimizing body functions, individuals are often better equipped to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Our program helps you every step of the way, so not only do you lose weight…you gain tremendous, long-lasting health. Learn more about healthy weight loss.
Yes, personalization is at the core of functional medicine. Based on comprehensive assessments, treatments are tailored to the individual's unique needs and health situation. We specialize in gut health, inflammation, metabolic issues, and healthy weight, but work with a myriad of other health concerns. The body is interconnected and likely your symptoms are as well.
Diet and lifestyle play pivotal roles in functional medicine. Many chronic symptoms can be traced back to dietary imbalances, lack of physical activity, chronic stress, poor gut health, and sleep issues. Identifying the root-cause and adjusting these factors often alleviates many chronic complaints. Learn more about our Lifestyle Program.
Chronic inflammation is seen as a root cause of many illnesses in functional medicine. By identifying inflammatory triggers like specific foods, toxins, or infections, and recommending anti-inflammatory diets, supplements, and other interventions, functional medicine can help reduce inflammation and its associated symptoms. We have an in depth onboarding process called the BH IQ Assessment which has functional medicine practitioner oversight, and we also offer the BH Lifestyle which is support from a nutritionist and health coach.
Functional medicine often employs comprehensive thyroid testing, including TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and thyroid antibodies. This allows for a more nuanced understanding of thyroid health. Treatment could involve dietary changes, supplements, or even low-dose thyroid medications. Most importantly, to better understand the thyroid it is necessary to review all body systems and get to the root cause of thyroid dysfunction. Learn more about hormone balance.
Yes, functional medicine seeks to identify triggers of autoimmune reactions, which can be dietary, environmental, or infectious. By removing these triggers and supporting the immune system, many individuals see improvements or even remissions in their autoimmune conditions. Treatments are geared to improve your immune system overall. Learn more about immune support.
Detoxification is crucial in functional medicine. Approaches might include dietary protocols, specific supplements to support liver function, and interventions like infrared saunas or detox baths to aid in toxin elimination. Gaining an understanding of what may be posing threats to your health is a first step in correcting through detoxification.
Functional medicine often utilizes specialized testing like comprehensive stool analyses, food sensitivity tests, detailed hormone panels, organic acid tests, urine and saliva hormone testing, DNA/genetic tests and more to get a clear picture of a patient's health status. Learn more about how we approach testing.
While functional medicine takes an individualized approach, many of its treatments are grounded in scientific research. Practitioners stay updated with the latest research and apply evidence-based practices in their treatments.
Holistic & Regenerative Skin Treatment FAQs
Functional medicine believes in addressing the root causes of health issues, including skin concerns. By optimizing overall health, it creates an environment where regenerative aesthetics yield even more pronounced results. Healthy internal systems support better skin health, faster healing, and enhanced treatment outcomes. Learn more about our holistic approach to aging skin and prevention.
PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is derived from your own blood and contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production and tissue regeneration. PRP Biofiller is an advanced application where the PRP is made into a gel-like consistency, acting as a natural filler. Both procedures rejuvenate the skin by diminishing wrinkles, improving texture, and providing a youthful appearance. Since it's derived from your own body, the risk of allergic reactions or complications is minimal.
PDO Threads are absorbable threads that are introduced into the skin to provide lift and tighten sagging tissues. As these threads dissolve, they stimulate collagen production, providing long-lasting firmness and elasticity. The key to achieving natural, beautiful results with PDO Threads lies in the expertise of skilled Benehealth practitioners, ensuring both safety and efficacy.
While traditional microneedling uses fine needles to create micro-injuries that boost collagen production, Radiofrequency microneedling adds the element of radiofrequency energy. This energy further enhances collagen and elastin production and tightens the skin. It's particularly effective in treating scars, wrinkles, and skin laxity. However, the procedure's success largely depends on safety-conscious practitioners ensuring the right energy levels and depths are used.
Xeomin is a type of neurotoxin that, like others, temporarily relaxes muscles, reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Unique to Xeomin is its formulation, which contains no additives, reducing the risk of autoimmune response adverse reactions and possible resistance (stops working). Skilled Benehealth experts ensure the right dosage and precise application for optimal results.
Medical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to remove the top layers of the skin, promoting regeneration and improving texture and tone. In a functional medicine approach, the overall health of the individual is also taken into account, ensuring that the skin is optimally nourished and prepared for the peel, resulting in better outcomes. Expert Benehealth practitioners ensure the peel is done safely and effectively.
Generally, holistic treatments like PRP and PDO Threads are suitable for a broad range of skin types. However, individual factors like skin health, medical history, and specific concerns play a role. Consulting with skilled Benehealth experts ensures personalized recommendations for the best outcomes.
Good internal health is often reflected in the skin. By ensuring balanced nutrition, hydration, and overall well-being, the skin is better prepared to respond to and heal from aesthetic treatments. Combining this with the expertise of Benehealth practitioners can lead to enhanced results and shorter recovery times. Learn more about the gut-skin axis.
Side effects can include redness, swelling, and minor discomfort. Compared to traditional treatments, Radiofrequency microneedling can have shorter downtime and fewer side effects. However, safety is paramount, and this underscores the importance of relying on safety conscious and skilled Benehealth practitioners for the procedure.
Yes, combining PRP with Radiofrequency microneedling can offer synergistic benefits. While PRP amplifies the body's natural healing and rejuvenation processes, Radiofrequency microneedling tightens and tones the skin. Combining both under the guidance of expert Benehealth practitioners can yield exceptional results.
Remember, while these treatments can offer impressive results, safety and the expertise of practitioners, such as those at Benehealth, are crucial in achieving desired outcomes while minimizing potential risks. Additionally, each person is different so results can vary.

We have single treatment options, discount packages, and our RegenU “Natural Facelift” Program.
At Benehealth, we know that it takes more than one type of treatment to reach long-lasting, age-defying results. That is why we created the RegenU Program, known as the “Natural Facelift”. RegenU is based on your skin needs, desires and overall health. This is hands-down the most affordable way to get multiple, varying regenerative treatments for skin rejuvenation.
A typical package includes several PRP/PRF injection sessions (full face, neck, and scalp), RF Microneedling, IPL and/or HIFU, PDO threads, and BH H2O Medifacials. If you purchase the RegenU package, you will receive discounts on other therapies during your treatment program (e.g. IV therapy, Radiesse, Botox/Xeomin/HA Fillers).
It depends on your skin needs and the treatments your practitioner has identified as best for you. Most clients are in treatment from 4 to 6 months. This is because your skin will need time in-between therapies to start the healing process. Since we are a functional medicine practice, we are also looking at the root cause of your skin condition or identifying ways we can improve the skin from the “inside out”.
It varies depending on the types of treatments identified specifically for you. The typical cost is $3500. You can check out our typical single session prices on our Aesthetic Pricing Tab
Results are dependent on your overall current skin health, physical health, and lifestyle. Since we are leveraging your body’s natural healing process to increase collagen and elastin, it can take 30-90 days for the results to show, however, results can last over 2 years, with some maintenance and an excellent skincare regime.
