“To fully overcome health concerns and look and feel youthful, it takes a scientific approach, a dedicated team, a personalized treatment plan, time, and perseverance.”
My story may sound a lot like yours. I struggled with chronic stress, gastrointestinal issues, and obesity for more than a decade. As a seasoned healthcare provider for more than 25 years, I had access to the best care available. Yet I was still sick…and tired. I was also sick and tired of spinning my wheels and ending up in the same place I started. I did everything I was told to do – faithfully taking all the medications that were supposed to make me better or help me lose weight – yet I was sicker than when I began.
When I discovered a functional medicine approach to health, I finally started to see the changes I’d been searching for. A personalized, comprehensive approach led me on my journey back to health. I’ve dedicated my life to leading others down their own path to optimal health, radiance, and vitality.
I’m experienced in regenerative aesthetics, or harnessing the body’s own healing potential to repair and rejuvenate damaged or aging cells. Regenerative aesthetics may include the use of platelet-rich plasma, signaling peptides, and natural growth factors.
When I’m not at Benehealth, I enjoy spending my days with my family and fur kids, camping at national parks, hiking, kayaking, and scuba diving. I also enjoy painting with acrylics – mostly messy florals but the occasional landscape has been known to remarkably appear.

“My vision is to make comprehensive, whole person care, the standard of care.”
Throughout my professional journey, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of practice settings, including an internationally-recognized Center of Excellence. Through my experiences in oncology, hospice, and multiple outpatient specialties, I was given a unique look into the human condition and what it means to truly heal. The more I cared for patients facing complex illness, the more my eyes were opened to the dysfunction and fragmentation of our current medical model.
This growing discontent eventually led me to functional medicine. The principles of functional medicine resonate deeply with my knowledge and experience of health and healing. Your body is a single beautifully-connected system, not a combination of parts. And it’s simultaneously connected to everything else in your environment. When we accept and embrace this natural design, we can lead the body into the healing it’s so wonderfully equipped to accomplish.
When I’m not caring for my patients, you’ll find me hanging out with family and friends, exploring nature in the beautiful southwest, practicing yoga, or dreaming up extraordinary recipes in my ordinary kitchen.

Nurse Practitioner
In my professional healthcare career, I've devoted myself to the care of individuals battling a range of chronic and acute conditions, including heart diseases, respiratory ailments, wounds, cancer, pain, and more. My professional path has been deeply influenced by personal experiences, particularly seeing my own family navigate the complexities of chronic illness within a fragmented healthcare system. These experiences have fueled my commitment to enhance patient care, emphasizing quality interactions and comprehensive treatment.
My primary goal is to empower my clients to discover the root causes of their health issues, leading to a more fulfilling and healthier life. I am a committed advocate of functional medicine, a patient-centered approach that looks beyond symptoms to unravel the complex web of factors affecting health. This approach not only addresses symptoms but also targets underlying causes, fostering a deep understanding and creating tailored treatment plans.
I am committed to nurturing your resilience, fostering healing and strength. I believe your healthcare journey should be medically sound and holistically supportive of your overall well-being.
Additionally, my approach includes staying abreast of the latest medical advancements and integrating innovative therapies where appropriate. I value continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that my practice is grounded in the most current and effective healthcare strategies.

Functional Medicine & Weight Management
Nurse Practitioner
With a diverse background in the medical field, I have gained valuable experience working in various specialties at Level 1 trauma hospitals and teaching at the undergraduate level. Additionally, I have had the privilege of providing care through mobile clinics in Haiti and a hospital in Uganda, further contributing to my comprehensive understanding of healthcare and its complexities. Through these experiences, however, I also witnessed the limitations of the conventional healthcare model, which ignited a personal and professional journey toward functional medicine and the exploration of alternative healing practices.
In my practice, I strongly believe in trusting the wisdom of our bodies and supporting our natural ability to restore balance. I view each person's healing journey as unique and consider it a privilege to be part of that process.
Continual learning and personal growth are integral to my life, both professionally and personally. Outside of my professional work, I find joy in immersing myself in different cultures through travel, playing the piano, and spending time with loved ones. Seeking fresh approaches to enhance my overall well-being and balance is crucial for a healthy and satisfying life, and these elements are also integrated into my work with clients.

Functional Medicine & Weight Management
Nurse Practitioner
I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner with a special focus on a holistic and root-cause approach to health and wellness. With over 10 years in healthcare, my passion for lifestyle medicine has driven me to empower others on their journey to better health. I'm currently deepening my expertise through functional medicine coursework with the Institute of Functional Medicine, aiming to become a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.
My own health challenges, coupled with witnessing the limitations of a reactive healthcare model in chronic disease management, inspired me to adopt a more proactive approach. I firmly believe in the incredible self-healing capacity of our bodies when they're properly supported and nourished.
My mission is to use evidence-based practices to guide my patients toward lasting changes that not only reverse chronic diseases but also reduce the risk of future illnesses. I resonate deeply with Thomas Edison's vision from 1903: "The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest the patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."
Outside my professional life, I cherish spending quality time with my two wonderful daughters, my friends, and family. I love cooking, exploring different ways to stay active, connecting with nature, and practicing meditation. I work with alternative treatment therapies like cold plunges, ozone therapy, light therapy, and sound therapy. For me, life is about balancing my professional commitments with personal wellbeing, each enriching the other and shaping my approach to health and healing. I help my clients do the same.

Holistic Skin Health & Aesthetics
Nurse Practitioner
My journey in healthcare spans over 10 years, during which I've specialized in holistic skin health and natural aesthetic treatments. My career began as a Registered Nurse in various aesthetic and cosmetic settings and am certified through the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. My optimal health approach as a Nurse Practitioner is both proactive and holistic, and I'm a vocal advocate for healthcare reform, global health, preventive care, and the vital connection between mind and body.
My passion for aesthetics is deeply personal, rooted in my own experiences with an autoimmune disorder. This journey has not only shaped my professional focus but also instilled in me a desire to help others find confidence and healing from the inside out. In the realm of functional medicine, my priorities center around empowering individuals to feel confident in their skin, promoting healing that transcends physical appearance.
My approach to skin health and aesthetics goes beyond surface-level treatments. I believe in addressing the root causes of skin issues, using natural and holistic methods that align with the body's innate healing processes. This includes educating my patients on the importance of nutrition, lifestyle, and mental well-being in achieving and maintaining healthy skin. My goal is to offer treatments that not only enhance physical appearance but also contribute to overall health and wellness, ensuring each patient experiences a transformation that is both deep and lasting.
When I'm not dedicating my time to Benehealth or nurturing my family, you'll find me planning my next adventure or immersed in IFM’s continuing education for functional medicine providers. These pursuits reflect my commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth, essential components of my professional practice.

She views every client as a unique person with highly individualized nutritional needs. Using the functional medicine framework, Taynua empowers clients, provides personalized food plans, health coaching, and education on how food and lifestyle factors influence chronic diseases.

Mary Lambdin,
MSACN
Health & Wellness Coach, Certified Nutrition Specialist, Candidate
Benehealth Support Team
Mary reached a breaking point at age 19, after realizing that she was living in constant fear of the unknown. After a life-changing experience, she was faced with a soul-centering experience that dramatically shifted her perspective. From this point on, her life trajectory shifted. The way that she viewed her own journey became full of opportunities rather than stifled by limiting beliefs. Figuring out the “why” behind human behavior and learning how to “hack” this in order to live more in alignment became her mission in life. She became fascinated with directly targeting the mind, body, and spirit to optimize overall wellness.
Mary started on her journey of self-discovery by earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a specialized minor in Holistic Health Studies. Developing her understanding of the formative theories behind human consciousness sparked her interest in how to target behavior change through a functional approach. Shortly after graduating with her BA, she enrolled in a graduate program to earn an MS in Applied Clinical Nutrition. With this comprehensive knowledge of the human body, learning the effects of generational trauma and social conditioning, and understanding how humans naturally integrate experiences, she seeks to balance physical manifestations by looking well beyond the surface of what’s presented at first glance.
Mary has completed certifications in 100 hour I AM Yoga Nidra™, 100 hour I AM Yoga Body Psychology™, and 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. She is currently completing 1,000 supervised clinical hours to become a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS®) and has 120 hours of NBC-HWC accredited experience as a Health and Wellness Coach
